Living Well with Type 2 Diabetes – Virtual Session

This workshop will run for one session, held on Thursday 22nd April between 10am and 11.30am, via video link. Type 2 Diabetes can be a difficult condition to manage. This free virtual workshop aims to help people understand more about the condition, including some common traps that people can fall into when living with it. The focus is on the helpful things that people can do to better manage the condition and reduce the risk of complications associated with it.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding Type 2 Diabetes and its impact
- Setting important and realistic goals
- Dealing with difficult thoughts
- Communicating feelings and needs in helpful ways
This is a taught course, run in a group format, via video link, so although there will be some group discussion it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part.
Important information: This course will be run via Microsoft Teams. You will not need to download or pay for this. The link will be sent to you prior to the course, where you can enter as a guest. Clear instructions will be sent to you in advance. You will need to provide an e-mail address and have internet access with a microphone and be in a private space.
