Managing Stress in the Workplace – Virtual Course

This course will run for four weekly sessions, held on a Thursday afternoon between 1pm and 2.30pm, starting Thursday 5th August, via video link. This free, four week virtual course is aimed at people who are feeling stressed and overwhelmed at work, people who wish to learn about the triggers of such stress, and people who wish to learn new methods and techniques that can be applied to daily life, in order to help reduce feelings of stress in the workplace.
Topics covered in this course include:
- Understanding stress and identifying key stressors at work
- Techniques for managing difficult thoughts
- Understanding employment law, and both employees and employers rights
- Methods for improved communication with employers
This is a taught course, run in a group format, via video link, so although there will be some group discussion it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part.
Important information: This course will be run via Microsoft Teams. You will not need to download or pay for this. The link will be sent to you prior to the course, where you can enter as a guest. Clear instructions will be sent to you in advance. You will need to provide an e-mail address and have internet access with a microphone and be in a private space.
